Reward System

Introduction.

For the last four years we've been running a weekly reward system for all our children. Each half-term parents and staff provide a variety of challenging and fun activities from which the children can choose. If they behave as well as they usually do, then the children spend an hour and a half on their chosen activity each Friday afternoon. If they have not behaved well that week, then instead they sit on their own with a worksheet!

The Activities.

We try to provide as much variety as possible so the list is constantly changing. Each half-term we send a new list home to parents so that they can help their children choose. The children then select three preferences from the list in school. We try as hard as we can to make sure that everyone gets their first choice, but due to the demand for some activities this is not always possible. However, it's very rare that a child does not get at least one of their three selections.

As an overview of the type of activities on offer, here's a list of some of what we've provided in the past: Kick-boxing, circuit training, dance, drama, arts and crafts, rambling, tennis, horse riding, Leeds Climbing Wall, pod casting, animation, cookery, tai-chi, chess, outdoor sports, gardening, film club, ocarina and guitar.

Latest Rewards (6.6.11 to 8.7.11).
