Inter-house Sports Fixtures

Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2012

For the second year running we based our inter-house sports competitions around Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week. Volunteers from Lloyds TSB kindly came into school to support our competitions. The building work meant we did not have use of the school fields so had to reduce our programme of events.  However we managed to hold a variety of events with opportunities for all our children to take part.

Our final medals ceremony was also attended by a former pupil who, due to his extensive charity work had been selected as one of the 8,000 Olympic Torch Bearers.

Congratulations to the overall winners Highfield.

Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2011

Many of our inter-house competitions were held during this week. In support, members of Lloyds TSB staff helped organise a number of events during the week. Lloyds TSB sponsored professional athletes also visited our children in school to share their advice on how to improve performance.

When is the new school going to be built?

Mr Scott(a few years ago)

Swimming would be difficult to organise this year, but we can consider it in the future. Tennis is a good idea. We can do it during Wimbledon fortnight. It's a shame the new school isn't built yet, it has a proper tennis court!

I think that we should do inter-house swimming and inter-house tennis!!
