Summer 2/ weeks 1-3

We have had a busy few weeks in Recepttion.
In maths we have been recapping shape, place value and counting up in 2's, 5's and 10's. As a continuing topic we are now looking at the reasoning.
Our topic this half term is looking at differences. We have talked about our houses and village, towns and cities. We had a walk around the village looking at what we have in our village and then we are going to compare it to the city.
The children enjoyed looking at all the different houses.
We have then come back and wrote about our village and also about our houses.

These next few weeks we will be working a lot with the children on transition to year 1. Please can you also be having little discussions about their feelings and anxieties over this move.
