Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant/Reading Support Assistant

Pay: Scale A1 - £9.25 per hour (Annual salary IRO £7868)

Hours: 18.75 per week

Term-time only, temporary for one term in the first instance

We are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant & Reading Support Assistant to join our team of dedicated support staff in school.

This combined role is temporary for one term in the first instance but there is potential for one or both roles to extend to the end of the school year.

Lunchtime role: 11.40am til 1.10pm

The role will involve working under the guidance of the Lunchtime Behaviour Supervisor, supporting the learning and personal development of students over the lunchtime period.

The role will include supervision of pupils in our dining room/classrooms and playground, dealing with minor first aid incidents and encouraging positive play and behaviour.

 

Reading role: 1.15pm – 3.30pm

You will then spend the afternoon working across the different year groups listening to children read and helping them make progress with the reading skills providing high quality support and encouragement.  This work will be guided by the class teacher and training will be given.
