 Nurture, Aspire, Achieve

Welcome back to school and to what is sure to be a very busy 2019-20 school year.

Staff have arranged new information for the 'Welcome meetings' - the first ones for years 1 to 6 are on Wednesday 4th September, with the new to reception meetings on 11th September. Please try to join us as there will be some new information regarding the changes we are making to homework and every year group does have slightly different arrangements and systems.

Our annual 'Keep Safe' week is planned for w/c 23.9.19. Here are the themes for the year groups this year:

Year Group

Road Safety / car safety

Home Safety

Fire Safety

Stranger Danger

Also focus on ‘Stranger Danger’ in school and ‘Yell Run Tell’

Electrical safety

Water safety

Cyber safety

Any thing you can do at home to support this would be gratefully appreciated.

Leadership of the school

Mrs Hoyle and Mrs Longley have been busy over the summer planning the developments for the academic year. The main focus will be on developments in reading to ensure that our standards improve with a particular focus on KS2. More details are available under the key information - school self-evaluation tab.

We still have vacancies for governors - if you are interested, please contact Mrs Hoyle to see what is involved and how you can help.
