Summer Term 2 week 3

This week in reception we are looking at the story of Handa's surprise and recalling and rewriting it.
In maths we are continuing our number work looking at 17 and 18.
We have continued with continuous provision and letting the children build up their relationships with each other.
On Friday we are having our OBON day, so we are preparing our portraits of our selves but also learning our songs.
Our class song is ' You got a friend in me'. if you could help your child learn this it would be helpful. The toy story version is ok. You may also have heard them sing 'we are Britain', we are just learning the chorus for this so I think they may have mastered this. Here are a few of the other activities set out in provision this week.
We have also introduced an incentive to get our children reading, when they reach the top, they then achieve a treat. We have a beanstalk tree in Miss Turners classroom and a seaside theme tower in Mrs Smarts.
