Happy New Year everyone and welcome back!

During this half-term, we will be looking at the question: Were the Ancient Egyptians great inventors?

Please take a look at our Knowledge Organiser to gain an idea of what we will be learning about and how it will link to other curriculum areas.

Swimming

Anna Head (a.head) on: Year 4 Blog

Don't forget that all of Year 4 are going swimming on both Tuesday and Friday this week (Week commencing 9th September) to be assessed, before being assigned to a specific day.  When we have made the decision, we will send the information home.

Please remember that the swimming pool have specific rules for what the children can wear during the lessons.

Girls need to have a full swimming costume (no bikinis please) and boys must have either swimming trunks or shorts that are above the knee.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to approach us in the playground.

Many thanks

Welcome back everyone!

This is our Year 4 blog.  Over the course of the school year, we will be updating the blog with details of what is being taught throughout the year, as well as any important information.

Over the first half term, Year 4 will be exploring the question 'Is Britain a great place to live?' through multiple cross-curricular lessons such as, Music, History, Geography, PSHE, Literacy and Art.

In Science, we will be focusing on the digestive system and our teeth.

Maths will be based around place value, as well as addition and subtraction.

Thank you for all that came to the Welcome meetings last week.  For those that couldn't make it, please find attached the welcome slides.

If any questions arise, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you

Mrs Johnson and Mr Reid
