After School Club Manager

Hours of Work: 16.25 hours per week - 3.00pm - 6.15pm term-time only

Salary: C1 - £7867 - £8879 (depending on experience)

We are looking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic, energetic and caring After School Club Manager to lead and manage our after-school provision.

This is a new venture for the school and presents an exciting opportunity to be involved with the development and establishment of the club working alongside our existing school staff.

The successful candidate must:

  • have Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare or equivalent qualification/experience
  • possess a good level of Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • have excellent organisational skills
  • be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • be able to effectively manage the service
  • have experience of leading and managing a team
  • be able to manage the supervision of childcare provision effectively and efficiently
  • preferably have experience of working in a school
  • preferably have experience of Health and Safety

A First Aid at Work certificate, Food Hygiene certificate and Safeguarding Qualification would be preferable but not essential as training can be given and experience of setting up a new provision is desirable but not essential.

This post is temporary until 31st August 2019 and will be made permanent at this time provided the club is running successfully.

The hours of work will be 3.00pm to 6.15pm in the first instance and the role if due to start in January 2020. This may be earlier if the successful candidate is available.
