Welcome to reception
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Gildersome Primary School. It is a very unusual time for us all but we would like to assure you that we will do everything we can to make sure your child has the best possible start in Reception.
There are a number of key documents below for you to look at and links to all the forms you need to complete. We will be having an online Parents Welcome Meeting on Tuesday 7th July at 6.00pm - you will receive an invitation to this via email closer to the date of the meeting. We have also created a Welcome to Reception Booklet which should provide you with lots of useful information about the school day.

School meals and milk
All children from Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a school meal free of charge under the government Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme.
Children up to the age of 5 are also entitled to a free 189ml carton of milk each day. Once your child turns 5 they can continue to receive a carton of milk for a small charge (currently £15 per term). This is payable through Cool Milk. If your child qualifies for 'means tested' free school meals then they will also receive milk free of charge.

Please click the links below to provide us with all the information we need to prepare for your child to start school in September. It is essential that all three of these forms are completed as soon as possible. You should have received a letter about each of the forms below in your introductory email from the school. If not these letters can be found in the Key Documents section on this page.
