3B Stone Age Project Feedback

Janet Spencer (j.spencer) on: Year 3 Blog

Isabel

Huge poster that had lots of detail about the Stone Age with some lovely drawings to represent life in the Stone Age. The children enjoyed looking at the pictures she had drawn to show us  about life in the Stone Age and they liked hearing about the Stone Age family she had created. Isabel had some facts to go alongside the poster as well and it was clear to see that a lot of time and effort had gone into it. Well done Isabel, a great project!

Maddison

Maddison had built a model of a cave and used lots of natural resources to represent the things they would have had in the Stone Age. There was lots of detail on the project and you could tell Maddison had really thought about what it would have been like to live in the Stone Age. She spoke very knowledgably about the Stone Age and taught the children a lot. Well done Maddison, a very creative project!

Rosie

Rosie had built a model of a cave and she included some of the things they would have had in the Stone Age. She told us why she had included each of the elements and why she had included some of the animals she had. Well done Rosie, a good project!

Kaiber

Wow Kaiber! It was so clear to see how much effort had gone into project. Kaiber had made a video (with the help of her mum) pretending to be from the Stone Age. She spoke very confidently and clearly about the Stone Age and had clearly learnt a lot from her research. I loved her outfit and she way she had gone over and above to really bring her project to life. Well done Kaiber, an amazing project!

Aidan

Well done Aidan! He used Minecraft to show us some of the fantastic things he had learnt about the Stone Age. He designed what a Stone Age house would have looked like as well as some of the Stone Age animals. Aidan spoke confidently about the Stone Age and clearly enjoyed his homework.

Eve

Eve had found out lots of facts about the Stone Age and this was presented on a poster. As well as this, she had made two models, one of a cave person and one of a reindeer. She spoke confidently about how she had made them and their relevance to the Stone Age. The children found her facts fascinating. Well done Eve!

Noah

Noah had built a model of a cave which had a real light for the cave fire! He had even represented some of the cave paintings like we had been doing in Art. His project was very inventive and creative, and it was clear to see how much time and effort had been put into the homework. Noah presented his work confidently and is clearly now very knowledgeable about the Stone Age.

Oscar

Oscar had made a spear that was taller than him! He told us all about the process of making it and spoke with great enthusiasm. Oscar had also made a model of a cave to show us how Stone Age people lived. He talked about the different elements he had done and what these meant in terms of life in the Stone Age. Oscar delivered his presentation very clearly to the class and the children really enjoyed looking at his homework. Well done!

Kayla

Kayla had recorded a video of herself reading out lots of facts about the Stone Age. It was very informative, and she had clearly done her research as she sounded very knowledgeable! Well done Kayla.

Isla

Isla had filmed a video of her dressed up as a cave person. She told us all about the Stone Age and she was very confident in her understanding. Isla had also brought in the axe that had featured in her video and she told us all about the process of making it and how Stone Age people would have used them. Well done Isla, a good project!

Bruce

Bruce had worked together with his Dad to build a spear the same size as me! He spoke confidently about the process of making the spear and could tell us all the weapons Stone Age people used and what they used them for. Well done Bruce and be careful not to take anyone’s eyes out!

Bobby

Bobby had found a bone and he told us all about how the Stone Age people used bones. He had also carved a stick into a spear and he could tell us about how the Stone Age people used spears in their lives too. Well done Bobby!

Ruby

I absolutely love Ruby’s project! She had designed a story board all about life in the Stone Age. Ruby used the internet to research and then put it into her own words. I love the detail on her project, and it is so clear to see how much time and effort has gone into it. Well done Ruby, a fantastic project!

Hannah

Hannah had produced a powerpoint on the computer and she was extremely proud of it. She had jam-packed it full of information and pictures about the Stone Age. It was extremely informative, and the children really enjoyed learning all about the different areas she had researched. Well done Hannah, a fantastic project!

Phoebe

Phoebe had built a model of a cave. She spoke very confidently to the class, very clear and articulated herself extremely well. Phoebe talked us through each part of the cave she had made and how this was relevant to life in the Stone Age. Phoebe clearly has a very good understanding of how Stone Age people lived. Well done Phoebe, a great project!

Olly

Olly had built a model of a cave with some help from his Dad! Olly was quite nervous presenting to the class, but he was very brave and did a really good job. Olly told us about the different elements of the cave, and he knew what this meant for the Stone Age people and how they lived. Well done Olly, I am proud of you!

Thomas

Thomas made a spear as one of the weapons the Stone Age people used to use. His mum helped him and he spoke knowledgeably about how he had made it. Well done Thomas!

Freya

Freya had built a model of a Stone Age home. She had included a river running alongside it and told us why that was important and a fire and how they would have used it. Freya told us all about making her model and why she had designed it the way she had. Well done Freya, a great project!

Roman

Roman had made a spear with some help from his Mum. He told us all about how the Stone Age people used spears and why they were so important. Well done Roman!

Cerys

Cerys has produced a booklet jam-packed full of information. She delivered her presentation to the class confidently and clearly. In her booklet, there was a mixture of pictures she had drawn and text. The children found her presentation very informative and enjoyed listening to all of the facts. Well done Cerys, a fantastic project!

Edward

Edward had made a model of a weapon that the Stone Age people would’ve used. He even used ‘jabbed’ in his presentation which has been one of our focus Vocabulary words this half term. Edward spoke very knowledgeably and it is clear that he has a great understanding of the Stone Age. He had also brought in a couple of his teddies and a stick and did a bit of role play to show how the Stone Age people would hunt. It was a brilliant demonstration and the children really enjoyed it. Thank you for a great project Edward!
